1974–1979 | Humble Beginnings

• 1974: William H.H. Johnson founded the company in Frankfort, Kentucky with one straight truck and a small warehouse space

• Started as a true local mover serving Frankfort, Lawrenceburg, and surrounding counties

1980s | Growing with Frankfort

• Second generation began helping in the business

• Moved to (and still operate from) our current headquarters at 4720 Louisville Road

• Added secure household storage to complement local moving services

1990s | Becoming a Frankfort Staple

• Built a loyal customer base with residential and commercial moves across Central Kentucky

• Fleet grew to multiple large box trucks with various truck sizes as well.

• Helped countless families and state employees relocate during Frankfort’s continued growth

2000s | Three Generations Strong

• Third generation officially joined day-to-day operations

• Continued focusing on what we do best: local moving and secure storage with white-glove care

2010s | Still Family, Still Local

• Celebrated 40 proud years in 2014

• Upgraded trucks and equipment while keeping the same personal service customers have trusted since day one

2020–2025 | Our Biggest Chapter Yet

• 2024: Hit the 50-year milestone – still 100% family-owned and operated

• Currently building Frankfort’s newest climate-controlled storage warehouse in downtown Frankfort, just off the Thornhill Bypass

• Coming Soon: Brand-new, modern, climate-controlled units – the perfect upgrade for everything from furniture to family heirlooms

2026 and Beyond

After 51 years of moving and storing Frankfort’s treasures in our original facility, we’re finally bringing climate-controlled storage home to downtown.
